【English Translation】
Collection of Teachings of Naropa NARO16 Je Rinpoche's Path to Liberation 1-4-3b Je Rinpoche's Path to Liberation. Je Rinpoche's Path to Liberation. Homage to the precious lineage blessed by the blissful, venerable Marpa, the wisdom dakini adorned with human bones! Please ripen my mind like the sun and moon [Naropa, Kukkuripa, Maitripa]. In general, I [Marchung] stayed in India for [spent] nineteen years. Later, I came to Tibet to search for gold. One night, while sleeping in Nyi Drakra, I dreamed that all the women of Lato gathered and offered countless gifts to me [Marpa]. [After waking up] I thought, if I could offer those enjoyments of last night to the lamas [Naro, Mitri, Waripa, etc.], 1-4-4a my wish would be fulfilled. After thinking for a while, I wondered if I could encounter treasure. As soon as I set out, not long after [because of accumulating merit throughout my life], I heard that there was a gold mine in Northern Ngamra. So I went north and exerted the power of Lhamo Dudsol. In addition, many people requested [methods of practice] sadhanas, At that time, I found twenty taels of gold. Marpa [the supreme son] Yak offered fourteen taels of gold [as service]. In addition, when meat, butter, and clothes were all converted into value, there were a total of forty taels of gold. Again, [after three years] I went to India and met the lama Path to Liberation. I offered a mandala made of gold, inlaid with turquoise. I made great offerings at Vajrasana and other special holy sites. I held grand tsok offerings in special places where dakinis gather. I earnestly prayed that these [four transmissions] teachings that I obtained through hard work would benefit immeasurable beings as vast as the sky. 1-4-4b Later, when I returned to Tibet, I offered a three-tiered golden mandala inlaid with various jewels [one, as well as twenty-one red Tara statues adorned with red coral lion heads, seven pearl ornaments, thirteen lava, etc.] to the blissful lama and the venerable one adorned with human bones. Earnestly prayed [requested blessings], At that time, the lamas also gave [prophecies] and blessings. Teachings [lineage] that flowed from the heart.

【English Translation】 These were also granted. At that time, I was very happy, laughing [haha] and dancing. As a result, a wood splinter pierced my foot, causing a wound, (therefore) I suffered for a long time. [Sick.] Together with Gnyos Jungpo [Mar Chungdak (Little Marpa)], the path to go to Tibet was also blocked. [By the obstacles of the Dakinis.] Later, I did not want to recover in less than a month. Later, Gnyos Jungpo said: 'There are great obstacles for you to go to Tibet.' There, the Indian Dakinis said: 'You need to be our husband.' I said, 'I will come back later.' That's how I was released. They asked, 'What kind of teachings [Snyon said] do you have?' I said, 'I have the teachings extracted from the heart, which are the Six Dharmas Heart Essence, the Red Offering of the Five Plagues, the Three Turnings of the Wheel of Dharma, and in short, I have teachings like these Four Commandments.' So, I planned to return to India to search. Jungpo asked me, 'To which Lama did you request?' I said, 'I have a Lama named Tarpa Lamton (Liberation Path), who is on an island in the outer sea.' 'I also have a Lama named Dechen Rolpa (Great Bliss Play), who wanders alternately in the eight great charnel grounds.' I was lifted up by the Dakinis with a silk rope and taken to the sacred place of Oddiyana. Did you see it there? If there is no karmic connection from the past, it is difficult to find even if you search. The Heart Essence was obtained from Naropa of Pulahari. Atisha! These oral instructions that flowed from the heart of Lord Marpa, were placed in a huge scroll, wrapped in cloth and rope, and hidden in the rock crevice of Growo Lung. Later, a shepherd named Sinful found it while splitting the rock to build a wall. But he did not recognize its value. After that, it came into my hands. The shepherd's name was Sangye Gon.'
